Table Tennis England will organize an online webinar with Kyhl Daly, the Designated Safeguarding Officer, to discuss the changes to DBS requirements, what it means for you, as well as wider information about DBS in table tennis. The webinar will take place on Tuesday 29 September from 6-7pm and you can sign up below. If you’re a Club Welfare Officer, part of a club or league committee or volunteer regularly with children, then this webinar is for you. During the webinar you’ll learn about the change in regulations and how it affects you and volunteers you may work with. You’ll also find out more about Table Tennis England’s DBS processes and the importance of the DBS check in safeguarding children in the sport. From 1 September 2026, the Crime and Policing Act 2026 removed the ‘supervision exemption’ from the legal definition of Regulated Activity.
