But it is precisely that number that exposes a harsh truth: T1 is becoming increasingly dependent on a single spearhead. From my perspective of watching matches for 7 years, I can confidently say this is not a meta issue or a bad day. This is a structural disease. When a team builds its entire operation around a single ADC, they bet everything on that player's ability to turn the tide. And when teammates cannot create space for Peyz to shine, T1 has no Plan B. The difference between Peyz and top ADCs like Gumayusi, Ruler, or Smash lies in the ability to seize initiative. Gumayusi with his lane-pressure style, Ruler with his extensive match experience – they can create opportunities themselves. As for Peyz, despite his excellence in teamfights, he often falls into a passive position if the top lane cannot maintain an advantage. Doran, T1's top laner, is going through a turbulent season. Consecutive mistakes in recent matches have negated the advantages Peyz created. What is concerning is that Doran often has to play weakside – receiving fewer resources – to funnel resources to Peyz. This lack of resources makes his positioning errors even more costly. Peyz joined T1 about 8 months ago, and that may not be enough for him to fully integrate into the team's playstyle. But the problem is not talent – Peyz is clearly one of the best young ADCs in the world. The problem lies in the fact that T1 seems unable to operate when Peyz is locked down. This creates a fiercely competitive environment. If you can't gain an advantage in the bot lane matchup, you'll be left behind. T1 currently stands at third place in LCK's competitive tier, behind HLE and Gen.G. They can beat weaker teams like BFX – but that was a predetermined victory. The question is: can they beat stronger teams? With the current structure, the answer is no. Peyz has 6 pentakills – 3 times more than Faker's entire career over 13+ years. But looking deeper, most of Peyz's pentakills come from matches where teammates facilitated him. He benefits from being funneled resources. This doesn't diminish Peyz's talent.
